Who We Are

Mission

The Centre of Hope for all nations is established to provide exceptional settlement services to newcomers to Canada.

Vision

To ensure and restore human hope and dignity to newcomers to Canada, the majority of whom come from places of conflict, abuse and neglect.

Mandate
To empower newcomers and refugees to take charge. The Centre of Hope for All Nations is a project of Christ’s Voice of Restoration ministries, a registered charity, devoted to providing settlement and integration services to newcomers to Canada. Every year the centre of hope for all nations helps individuals and families to settle into their new way of life in Canada. Run by immigrants and Canadian citizens, the centre of hope for all nations understands the challenges newcomers and refugees face, as they try to navigate and adjust to their new way of life. The centre focuses on providing highly personalized information, guidance and support services to each individual. Our services are carefully designed and crafted to meet a wide range of needs for new comers. The services are open to newcomers, convention refugees and any individuals who are at risk. We also provide orientation, information and referral to newcomers in Canada.

History

From the very beginning, Christ's Voice of Restoration Ministries set out to make a positive impact on its community, particularly the once notorious neighborhood around Barton street, which has since transformed into a family-friendly environment, thanks to the church's presence.

Christ's Voice of Restoration Headquarters, located at the corner of Barton and Sanford Avenue North, specifically at 200 Sanford Ave N, has offered assistance to numerous individuals who sough refuge within its walls for the past 16 years, with funding solely coming from church donations and member contributions.

The church has consistently been a primary source of support for distressed individuals. In a significant turn of events in mid- October 2023, a group of 13 Ugandan Refugees arrived at the church doors seeking shelter, immigration assistance, employment and assistance. Upon discovering that local shelters were at capacity and unable to help, the church swiftly converted vacant spaces, offices, boardrooms, and storage rooms into livable areas. Congregants banded together to fund these renovations, and the 13 Refugees found safe harbor within the church.

This event marked a turning point for Christ Voice of Restoration as it recognized its role in addressing the broader crisis facing Hamilton. It became clear that handling the situation on a part-time voluntary basis was no longer sufficient. The church's leadership unanimously decided to establish a full-time Settlement Centre, complete with dedicated staff, committed to serving clients and actively seeking external funding to continue Providing essential services.

On October 26th, 2023, Christ's Voice of Restoration Ministries officially launched the "Centre of Hope for All Nations" Settlement Services, marking a new chapter in its mission to serve the community with the vision, that is , to be a beacon of hope for those seeking refuge and a brighter future.
