Prayer is Key
In my Study and my practice of the discipline of prayer, I have come to the understanding after careful reflection, that it is only believers who have a true knowledge of the gospel, had a deep abiding life of prayer. It is possible to pray to a God whom you do not know, but it is impossible to pray effectively to a God whom you do not sincerely and genuinely know.
Prayer without a deep and intimate knowledge of God, is merely a religious motion of human repetitions, only gratifying the freshly desire of the human being. Sometimes the human being is so caught up in religion that he is easily deceived and does not even recognize that he is lost. Jesus's conversation with the women at the well of Samaria reveals the dangers of religious knowledge. The women were so concerned about the observance of the external motions of religion, a mere mental absence that left the heart of the creature untouched and unchanged.
